It seems that we've all been hit with varying amounts of ice in the past week. The rest of the fam has been able to get out and about despite the conditions, as they haven't lasted very long for them. But Luke and I are starting our 3rd day stuck inside the house. Some people have been brave and ventured out, but it seems that they always end up in an accident with an 18-wheeler on I-35, so we've opted to stay home. A couple of guys on our street decided that it was a good idea to go skiing down the road - they attached a cord to the back of the car, and one guy strapped on his skis and was pulled down the icy road (no snow there, just ice). Naturally, this was the stupidest idea ever, and the guy totally ate it.
Our dog, Molly, was kicked in the face by Bri's horse, Elliott, over the weekend; please don't feel sorry for Molly, as she was the instigator, and she just really doesn't know when to stop. She's missing 4 teeth, and all of the vets are closed in Austin due to the ice storm, so it's been festering for 5 days now. It's starting to smell. You ask, "Why not take her to an emergency animal hospital?" Because they charge you money for breathing their air, and Molly still eats like she's never going to have food again, so we figured we'll just wait until the ice melts, if it ever does.
Here are a couple pictures:

As I was typing this post, the guys with skis decided to try again today, and I managed to snap a picture.

Actual snow!
